Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Security Specialist to join our team at Coniah Consulting Inc. as a key member of our Cyber Security and Risk Management Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our web applications and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough security testing and vulnerability assessments on web applications and mobile applications.
  2. Perform penetration testing and code reviews to identify and mitigate security risks.
  3. Develop and implement secure software development life cycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps programs.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the development process.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to ensure our applications remain secure.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in application security testing and vulnerability assessment.
  2. Strong knowledge of web protocols, web technologies, and cybersecurity standards.
  3. Experience with static and dynamic application security testing using automated tools and manual techniques.
  4. Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker certification.
  2. Experience with cloud security and cloud-based application architecture.
  3. Knowledge of ISO 27002:2013/2022 code of practice for information security controls.
