Villa du Repos Inc., a long-term care facility with 186 beds, is currently seeking applications for the following position:

Certified Nursing Assistant

Full-time, part-time, and occasional positions available

Job Summary:

  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Provide palliative care to residents and support to their loved ones
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as basic care
  • Ensure accurate documentation and complete various control forms at each shift (nursing care records, surveillance of contentions, etc.)
  • Evaluate, monitor, and document the health status and behavior of residents and report to the responsible nurse
  • Participate in various meetings and guide and orient other members of the care team
  • Other tasks delegated by the supervisor

Required Skills:

  • Hold a certificate from a recognized nursing assistant program
  • Hold a practice permit in the province of New Brunswick
  • Ability to communicate effectively in French and English, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to organize, plan, lead, and work in a team
  • Have the physical and intellectual abilities to meet the requirements of the position
  • Have good work history
  • Show interest in professional development
  • Show autonomy in work
  • Proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination

Benefits:

Salary: According to the collective agreement, starting at scale A) $29.04, B) $30.10, or C) $31.19 per hour

Employment Contract:

A recruitment bonus of $12,000 over a period of three (3) years for the hiring of a full-time position
