Position Overview

Kal Tire is on the lookout for a dedicated Commercial Service Technician to enhance our dynamic team. This role is based in a bustling environment where you will engage in both front shop services and off-site fleet support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and execute service tasks on commercial tires and wheels, which includes removing wheel assemblies, dismounting tires, balancing, inflating, and installation.
  • Perform routine tire inspections and maintenance to guarantee optimal tire pressure, tread condition, and overall performance.
  • Respond to service calls, providing tire-related assistance to commercial vehicles in need.
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their tire-related inquiries and offering tailored advice based on their vehicle specifications and budget.
  • Effectively communicate the services performed and any additional maintenance or repair recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Experience with medium truck, farm, and industrial tire service is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in executing tire services.
  • A self-motivated individual committed to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Enjoyment in building positive and lasting customer relationships.
  • Physical capability to excel in a demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs at shoulder height.
  • A safety-conscious mindset, adhering to all required safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Work Schedule

This position typically operates Monday to Friday, with the requirement for after-hours service availability.
