About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Architect to join our team at Bell Canada. As a key member of our Enterprise Data Platforms and AI team, you will play a critical role in leading data transformation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Warehouse/Data Lake/Data Lakehouse Modernization: Own the strategy and roadmap for modernizing our data warehouse, data lake, and data lakehouse, spanning on-prem and public cloud.
  • Design and Implement Data Architectures: Lead the design, development, and implementation of data architectures that meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Lead Data Migration Projects: Plan and execute data migration projects from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms, working closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop Data Models: Define and implement data models that align with business requirements and ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Design and implement data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources.
  • Document Data Capabilities Roadmaps and Solutions: Document the various data capabilities roadmaps and solutions to achieve the long-term vision and communicate them effectively to all stakeholders to gain alignment and momentum.
  • Contribute to Data Best Practices: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for data architecture and management.
  • Implement Data Security Measures: Ensure the security and confidentiality of data by implementing appropriate security measures and protocols, continuously researching and evaluating emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and cloud computing.
  • Provide Guidance and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers.
Requirements
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of information technology architecture experience, with at least 2 in a senior architect role.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, software engineering, or equivalent, or business.
  • Ability to deal, on a daily basis, with senior management, peers, and junior staff, both internally and externally, with business and professional skills in Information Technology.
  • Experience in leading virtual teams.
  • Experience on Agile and DevOps (Continuous Integration/Deployment) methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Cloud hyperscaler GCP or AWS.
  • Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
