Key Responsibilities- Departmental Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective operation of the department.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure that high standards of cleanliness and quality are maintained.
- Staff Management: Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Safety and Security: Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met, and that all staff are aware of and adhere to these policies.
- Maintenance and Repair: Supervise maintenance and repair services to ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Laundry Services: Coordinate in-house laundry services to ensure that all linens and uniforms are clean and available for use.
- Staff Recruitment and Termination: Hire and dismiss staff as necessary, ensuring that all hiring and termination procedures are followed.
- Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, and provide support and resources to help them integrate into the workforce.
- Youth Employment: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, and provide opportunities for young people to gain work experience and skills.
- Indigenous People: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, and provide cultural competency training and awareness to all employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Visible Minorities: Participate in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities, and provide opportunities for them to gain work experience and skills.
