Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health are seeking a skilled Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress testing
- Perform stress tests under the direct supervision of a cardiologist
- Precept and mentor new learners in the department
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
- Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
- Current BLS (HCP) certification
- Recent clinical experience in an ECG department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing
- Strong sense of initiative and responsibility
- Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Competitive hourly rate of $30.83
