Job Summary

Chakkar Express Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure it is in good working order.

Load and Unload Goods

Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, taking care to prevent damage to the cargo and the vehicle.

Operate Heavy Vehicles

Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Preventive Maintenance

Perform regular preventive maintenance on the vehicle to prevent breakdowns and ensure it remains in good working order.

Record Keeping

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate records and compliance with regulations.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

Experience is an asset, but not required.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.

Work Hours

40 to 60 hours per week.
