Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at T-Net British Columbia. As a key member of our analytics platform development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and machine learning models to drive business insights and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, ClickHouse, and Cassandra.
  • Develop and optimize machine learning models to solve complex business problems and deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement cutting-edge solutions.
  • Perform data analysis and exploration to understand data quality, distribution, and patterns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in data engineering and machine learning practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python development with a deep understanding of Python-based applications.
  • Extensive experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, ClickHouse, and Cassandra.
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, data quality, data governance, and data security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, YARN, or Elasticsearch.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 CAD.
