Job Title: Layout Artist

Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a skilled Layout Artist to join our team. As a Layout Artist, you will be responsible for translating storyboards and sketches into 3D sequences of shots.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine camera composition, angles, and movement
  • Establish set and background geometry
  • Create basic blocking for all characters and props
  • Develop sequences of shots that convey the storyline
  • Collaborate with the Director and Layout Supervisor to ensure the vision is resolved
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of applicable software packages, including Maya
  • Good knowledge of camera composition and cinematographic principles
  • High attention to detail and good organization skills
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $26.44 - $36.32/hr (Associate) and $32.02 - $43.99/hr (Intermediate)
