Electrical Technician – Metalforming Specialist

Job Overview:

As an Electrician – Metalforming at F&P Mfg. Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art automotive parts manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with production equipment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Use programmable logic control systems (PLCs) to program and troubleshoot automated equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical and engineering blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical operations, fire protection systems, emergency generators, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with electrical power distribution and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Flexibility to work on various projects and assignments.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Perform heavy lifting and work at heights as required.
  • Install EMT and rigid conduit, transformers, distribution panels, and other electrical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Industrial (442A) and/or construction maintenance (309A) electrician license is mandatory.
  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Robotics field and/or 2-3+ years of related experience is an asset.

Work Environment:

  • Office and Plant Environment.
  • May be exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, and other environmental factors.
