Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Geriatrics

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a long-term care setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in gerontological nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and providing technical assistance to surgeons. Additionally, you will be required to monitor patients' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and conduct specimen collection
  • Provide technical assistance to surgeons and monitor patients' progress
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with the healthcare team
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services within the defined scope of practice
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
