Global Finance Operations Manager

The position of the Finance Operations Manager is a vital component of Service Management at Mundipharma, tasked with overseeing and regulating all elements that constitute the Framework to support the Global Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC). The Finance Operations Manager will enhance service delivery, monitor and address issues, and advocate for the optimization of FSSC Operations. The range of processes encompasses Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record to Report, and Master Data Management.

Mundipharma is seeking to appoint a Finance Operations Manager to become part of their Service Management team. The individual in this role will enhance service delivery, monitor and resolve issues, and promote the optimization of FSSC Operations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Performance Oversight
    • Utilize a data-centric approach to performance oversight
    • Establish and execute key service SLAs and process KPIs across FSSC Operations
    • Transform service & process metric reporting into actionable insights
    • Provide updates to stakeholders on performance metrics in accordance with FSSC governance standards
    • Represent FSSC in key forums concerning service and process performance
    • Ensure effective resource utilization and process enhancement for all services provided by FSSC (Offshore BPO)
    • Serve as the escalation point for resolving issues and complaints
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Cultivate strong relationships with both external and internal customers of the FSSC
    • Foster a culture of service excellence
    • Ensure that service agreements are maintained by the FSSC and transparently communicated to the broader business community
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to escalate their issues and concerns, ensuring the governance model is effectively utilized to resolve challenges
    • Establish regular interactions with internal and external stakeholders of the FSSC
  • Process Management
    • Promote a culture of process excellence, continuous improvement, and robust compliance across FSSC services
    • Collaborate with GPOs, Internal Controls, and Internal Audit to ensure processes are optimized with necessary controls
    • Clearly define roles and responsibilities throughout the end-to-end processes
    • Assist in resolving process-related issues
  • Interaction Framework
    • Support the creation of all metrics/reports within Power BI, ensuring data integrity and controls are embedded, in collaboration with the MundiPharma Reporting Catalogue.
    • Work closely with the broader Power BI project to ensure data alignment and reliability
    • Define, implement, and continuously enhance the interaction model between FSSC and its customers through Service Now.
  • FSSC Communication Strategy
    • Develop a comprehensive FSSC communication strategy for all internal and external business stakeholders
    • Manage communications across all governance levels, e.g., Exco, SteerCo, Internal Customer Board
    • Utilize all available platforms to ensure effective communication and promote self-service via the FSSC interaction model

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience in Service Delivery within a global organization
  • Proven track record in managing large and complex operations & projects including BPO and captive shared services
  • Demonstrated history of continuous improvement
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end finance processes
  • Experience in finance shared services
  • Involvement in ERP rollout programs, project delivery, and automation initiatives
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry processes
  • Experience in finance transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of end-to-end enterprise processes
  • Capable of coaching and managing personnel (direct and/or indirect), effective delegation, cross-functional collaboration, senior stakeholder management, and strong negotiation skills
