About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at BHAG Construction Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Transport Materials: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Structures: Help in setting up and taking down concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix and Apply Materials: Assist in mixing and pouring concrete and asphalt, and spreading materials as needed.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Help in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Assist in paving and raking asphalt to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Demolition and Cleanup: Help in demolishing buildings and cleaning up debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment and tools used in construction.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: This role requires working in a physically demanding environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Weight Handling: The ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is essential.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Training and Experience: Willingness to learn and train on the job, with a focus on developing skills and expertise in carpentry and construction.
