Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at BALDEV PAAN. This role involves preparing a variety of dishes while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a culinary setting.
Work Environment
  • Conditions: The work environment is typically hot and non-smoking.
  • Setting: This position is based in a restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Oversee kitchen staff and assist in their training and development.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquets.
  • Plan menus that meet quality standards and dietary requirements.
Certifications
  • Must possess a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Safe Food Handling certification is required.
Cuisine Expertise
  • Specialization in South Indian, West Indian, and Vegetarian cuisines.
Transportation
  • Own transportation is preferred, but public transportation options are available.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
