Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to support our engineering team at Progressive Rubber Industries Inc.. This role involves assisting in various engineering tasks and ensuring the integrity of mechanical systems.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the evaluation of mechanical installations and construction initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation of designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Conduct a limited array of mechanical tests and analyses on machines, components, and materials.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Help formulate policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Adhere to emergency and safety protocols.
Technical Proficiencies
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word.
Transportation and Travel
  • Possession of personal transportation is required.
Work Environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
Tools and Equipment
  • Must have access to necessary tools.
  • Hard hat and safety glasses/goggles are required.
