Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE Assistant to join our team at Silver Maple Montessori. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare program and contributing to the growth and development of our young learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
