As a Principal Software Engineer at Promote Project, you will be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for leading the development of our application and ensuring the delivery of high-quality releases on time.

You will work closely with product and engineering leadership to define and deliver core features, create a robust and scalable infrastructure, and build a strong engineering culture.

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex software projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our application, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and deliver core features
  • Create a robust and scalable infrastructure to support our application
  • Build a strong engineering culture, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure the team is shipping complete features and producing quality code
  • Advocate for best practices and continually iterate on internal processes to empower the engineering team
  • Assist in the hiring process of a growing engineering team
  • Invest in mentoring to help the rest of the team grow their skills
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex software projects
  • Substantial expertise building frontend with React and Typescript or backend systems with Elixir and Phoenix
  • Previous experience working with relational databases
  • Previous experience working with Typescript and GraphQL
  • Previous experience working with DevOps (infrastructure and deployments)
  • Experience building GraphQL APIs with Apollo Client and Absinthe
  • Experience with Vercel and
  • Understanding of Postgres databases design and optimization
  • DevOps know-how, specifically deploying and configuring AWS services and Kubernetes with Terraform
