About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at COBS Bread. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread products, including artisan breads, pastries, and other sweet and savory treats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake bread products, including mixing, kneading, and proofing dough
  • Operate ovens and other equipment to produce high-quality bread products
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues to ensure smooth production and delivery of products
  • Meet production targets and deadlines, while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

  • Continuous standing and walking for all tasks
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg
  • Frequent turning and reaching
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, and some forward bending
  • Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of baking experience (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a related field, such as pastry chef, bread maker, cook, or chef
