Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counselling Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Health Group. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality counselling services to clients with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide goal-focused, therapeutic approaches to alleviate distress and improve social and occupational functioning.
  • Participate in team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans and progress.
  • Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Work with adults from various third-party insurers and programs, including traumatic psychological injury, motor vehicle accidents, and long-term disability.
Requirements
  • Fully licensed as an RCT with the Nova Scotia College of Registered Counselling Therapists or Social Worker registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers.
  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of mental health symptoms with adult clients.
  • Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome.
  • Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
