Our client, a renowned engineering, procurement, and construction company, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and prepare electrical deliverables, including single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prepare and implement electrical design calculations, such as voltage drop, cable sizing, and conduit fill.
  • Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and other regulatory and industry standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Microstation, with experience in 3D modeling software an asset.
  • Collaborate with the team to determine cable and raceway requirements and prepare schedules.
  • Prepare MV/LV motor control schematics, control panel layouts, and panel board schedules.
Requirements:
  • Technical school diploma in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of related design experience in an oil sands or large-scale petro-chemical setting.
  • C.Tech, C.E.T. in Electrical Engineering Technology;
  • Previous EPC experience required;
  • Motivated and self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision.
