We are currently in search of a Senior Accountant to enhance our Edmonton office. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Partners and should be a career-oriented individual eager to contribute to a growth-focused, entrepreneurial firm. This role is crucial to our ongoing expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage year-end engagements and prepare personal and corporate tax filings.
  • Plan and execute tasks related to Assurance, Accounting, and income tax engagements.
  • Compile financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Establish effective working relationships with clients.
  • Respond adeptly to client inquiries and suggestions throughout the engagement.
  • Conduct audits of financial statements.
  • Draft reports and address client queries for managerial review.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with partners and team members regarding progress and significant issues.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a CPA designation (or legacy CA, CMA, CGA).
  • 2-3 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Experience in relevant industries is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Innovative thinker, comfortable in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Community-oriented.
  • A collaborative team player who supports the success of others.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
