Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2204774 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are meeting expectations.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Manage Staff: Hire food service staff, manage staff schedules, and ensure that staff are meeting performance expectations.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and taking corrective action as needed.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that customers leave our establishment satisfied.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
- Work Setting: Food service establishment, coffee shop, or restaurant.
- Supervision: 5-10 people, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and walking.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
- Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
