VCA Canada is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technologist to join our team at the Guardian Veterinary Centre. As a Veterinary Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures and exams
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to veterinarians
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their owners
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Collaborate with veterinary team members to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Completed an accredited program in Veterinary Technology or a related field
- Eligible to register with the relevant veterinary association
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their owners
