Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit Specialist to join our team in a Specialist role, focusing on Interline Agreements. The successful candidate will conduct audits on CPKC Interline agreements, ensuring data accuracy, rate adjustments, compliance, and operational value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits on CPKC Interline agreements, analyzing data accuracy, rate adjustments, compliance, and operational value.
  • Generate detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Serve as the go-to agreement expert for critical Interline projects, ensuring the manager is updated on project statuses, risks, timelines, and benefits.
  • Drive continuous improvement by engaging stakeholders to enhance efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Implement and execute business opportunities related to Interline agreements by collaborating with departments like Commercial, Operations, Strategy, and others.
  • Support the revenue and expense data relating to Interline Agreements on a monthly basis.

Requirements

  • University degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Railroad knowledge, particularly in operations, commercial, or legal domains, is an asset.
  • Required application expertise includes SAP, Business Objects, BPC, Windows, and Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills for vendor management, and the ability to prioritize under continuous deadlines.
  • Must work well with multiple stakeholders.
