The School District #23 (Central Okanagan) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional educator for a temporary contract and Teacher Teaching on Call position.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement the BC Education Plan and the Redesigned Curriculum in a collaborative team environment, promoting academic excellence and student success.
- Participate in the implementation of the school level Collaborative Model of Support, developing and refining the School District Attributes for the 21st Century.
- Utilize technology for planning, attendance monitoring, communication, classroom instruction, and reporting purposes, enhancing teaching and learning experiences.
- Contribute to the fulfillment of the School and District goals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Two years of successful classroom teaching experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction.
- Experience at the Intermediate level, with a strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation.
- Experience in differentiating and providing inclusive learning opportunities that reflect the unique needs and interests of all students, promoting equity and diversity.
- Training/experience in Quality Assessment practices, including differentiated instruction, criterion-referenced grading, and Assessment For, As, and Of Learning.
- Additional professional experience and/or post-secondary courses in intermediate education, with a focus on literacy and numeracy, enhancing teaching expertise.
- A strong interest in innovation and inquiry, with a commitment to staying current with best practices in education.
- Indigenous ancestry (as per Special Program with the BC Human Rights Tribunal), promoting diversity and inclusion.
- A competitive salary range of $57,972 to $106,217, based on length of service and qualifications, providing a fair and equitable compensation package.
