Job Title: Caretaker II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Caretaker II to join our team at York Region District School Board. As a Caretaker II, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and fixtures
* Ensure the proper disposal of waste and recyclables
* Assist with special events and projects as needed

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or custodial role
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
