Job Summary:

The York Region District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Caretaker II to join our team. As a Caretaker II, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and fixtures
  • Ensure the proper disposal of waste and recyclables
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or custodial role an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
