Departmental MissionThe Orthopedic Surgery Division, part of the Department of Surgery at McMaster University, is a fully accredited training program recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery trauma care, complemented by fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery and pediatric upper extremity surgery. Evidence of strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, along with a proactive approach to enhancing the clinical and academic output of the Orthopedic Surgery Division, is essential.
A commitment to surgical education and research across all levels is vital, alongside active involvement in the academic initiatives of both the Orthopedic Surgery Division and the Department of Surgery. The capacity to contribute to the Division's research objectives is highly valued. Candidates with a Master's degree in research methodology or a keen interest in pursuing further training in this area are preferred.
This position offers a full-time appointment at an appropriate level within the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University, with academic rank determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Applicants must hold a Fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery, Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or an equivalent qualification, and must be eligible for licensure in Ontario.
