Position Overview: The Director of Commercial Services plays a pivotal role in harmonizing the sales, marketing, and revenue functions to ensure the highest level of success for the hotel. This position collaborates closely with the heads of Sales, Marketing & eBusiness, and Revenue Management to achieve the hotel's financial targets and strategic objectives. As a key member of the Hotel Executive Committee, the Director contributes to the overall management of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop, disseminate, and implement the hotel's strategic initiatives concerning Sales, Marketing, and Revenue.
  2. Design and execute strategies aimed at maximizing revenue across all market segments to meet the hotel's financial plan and Customer Success Indicators (CSIs).
  3. Provide strategic insights to the Hotel Executive Team regarding plans and initiatives focused on revenue enhancement and budget attainment.
  4. Foster a strong partnership between Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management, both internally and with regional and corporate counterparts.
  5. Develop a unified approach to sales and marketing activities by synchronizing efforts among the sales, marketing & e-business, and revenue teams for optimal impact.
  6. Oversee the formulation of annual budgets for Sales, Marketing, and Revenue departments.
  7. Lead weekly Revenue Operations Management Executive (ROME) meetings.
  8. Facilitate effective succession planning and talent development within the hotel's sales, marketing, and revenue teams.
  9. In conjunction with the Director of Marketing & eBusiness, supervise the creation of marketing campaigns and target market strategies utilizing both traditional and digital channels to ensure successful execution of initiatives across creative services, social media, digital platforms, and public relations.
  10. Hold overall accountability for the strategic direction of the hotel regarding sales mix, pricing strategy, positioning, direct sales, revenue management, reservations, and conference services.
  11. Assist in the recruitment process for sales, marketing, and revenue personnel.
  12. Cultivate a team culture that reflects the hotel's mission, vision, and values.
  13. Prepare, implement, and compile data for strategic plans, monthly reports, annual objectives, budgets, forecasts, and other necessary documentation.
