About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing project finances and schedules, ensuring quality deliverables, and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
- Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards, and that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted on time.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional license in Mechanical Engineering (e.g. P.Eng.).
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in industrial or mining engineering.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
