Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to enhance our Talent Acquisition Team.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping our recruitment strategies and ensuring we attract top talent.
This position offers a Hybrid Remote/In-office work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities of the Recruitment Specialist at Vancouver Coastal Health include:
Providing expert guidance and crafting external recruitment strategies to support senior leadership, Directors, and Managers in identifying, sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates in a competitive labor market. Cultivating strong relationships internally and externally to drive performance excellence, assess recruitment needs, research emerging trends, and implement corporate recruitment initiatives to address critical staffing requirements. Managing the complete recruitment lifecycle by employing innovative and professional recruiting techniques, creating tailored advertising materials, and proposing new avenues for candidate outreach. Building and maintaining effective partnerships with academic institutions, professional associations, recruitment agencies, and other organizations while keeping an updated directory of qualified candidates.This role aligns with VCH's commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Planetary Health.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Commerce (with a focus on Human Resources) along with three (3) to five (5) years of recruitment experience in a dynamic and diverse environment, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Familiarity with modern integrated cloud-based human capital management systems, such as Workday, is preferred.Knowledge & Skills
Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders while promoting services with a sensitivity to diversity and an Indigenous perspective. Commitment to recognizing, including, and supporting all forms of diversity throughout the recruitment process, with an understanding of the challenges faced by equity-deserving groups. Proven track record as an innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic recruiter and relationship builder with external clients. Comprehensive knowledge of human resources and recruitment principles, hiring regulations, ethical standards, and healthcare professional licensing. Extensive experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment search methodologies, and social media platforms. Strong time management and organizational abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with facilitation and influencing capabilities. Proficiency in computer applications and relevant software, including MS Office, online applicant tracking systems, and human capital management systems. Knowledge of Workday is advantageous. Advanced skills in current computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases).
