Senior Corporate Actions and Income Processing Specialist

About the Role:
Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is a leading independent clearing broker and custodian in Canada, providing execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of global-based firms.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Actions and Income Processing Specialist Sr to join our team. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for processing corporate actions, income, and proxy events for securities held domestically and internationally, in multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee department transactions, ensuring accurate preparation and processing of corporate action events and entitlements payments.
- Record and process Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) transactions.
- Process payments for Canadian securities, including physical exchanges for privately held securities and preparing proxy (physical and electronic) to the end client.
- Process complex/high risk transactions that require more touch points in multiple systems.
- Assist in ensuring all announcements pertaining to offers are correct, researching and adjusting any discrepancies.
- Act as a point of contact for procedural and process questions.
- Provide relief for management by assisting in reviewing and overseeing controls of the department to reduce/minimize risk to the firm.
- Act as a subject matter expert through projects to improve efficiency and adapt to changing market standards within the firm.
- Deliver exceptional customer service interactions to internal and external customers, exceeding their expectations and creating a positive experience.
Requirements:
- Completion of Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent work experience.
- More than 5 years of experience in the securities/brokerage industry, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in corporate actions and entitlements processing.
- Extensive knowledge of financial transaction processing, settlements, or corporate actions/income.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with various stakeholders and external parties.
- Sound and proven customer service skills.
- Expertise in accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and consistently perform in a time-sensitive environment with multiple daily deadlines.
