ATCO Frontec is seeking a skilled Salad/Sandwich Maker to join our team at Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of food and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to the highest standards.

This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, be able to work effectively with minimal supervision, and possess the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare salad bar items, including basic foods and portioning
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained
  • Creativity with salad and sandwich making, including made-to-order specialty sandwiches
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Oversee stocking of all food serving areas, with a focus on quality, appearance, and minimizing waste
  • Maintain daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and serving of all sandwiches/salads
  • Prepare salads and sandwiches according to specifications in quantities sufficient for the day's count
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as needed
  • Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Valid food safety certificate
  • 1 year of experience as a Sandwich/Salad Maker
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Works well under pressure
