Job Summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking a skilled Salad/Sandwich Maker to join our team at Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality salads and sandwiches to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and portion salad bar items, including basic foods and ingredients
  • Ensure all flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned, sanitized, and meet lodge standards
  • Creativity with salad and sandwich making, including made-to-order specialty sandwiches
  • Work efficiently to produce high-volume counts of salad and sandwich products
  • Oversee stocking of all food serving areas, focusing on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste
  • Maintain daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and serving of all sandwiches/salads required to meet kitchen demands
  • Prepare salads and sandwiches according to specifications in quantities sufficient for the day's count
  • Assist anywhere else in the kitchen during production as needed
  • Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
Qualifications
  • Valid food safety certificate
  • 1 year of experience as a Sandwich/Salad Maker
  • Excellent people skills
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Works well under pressure
