Position Overview

George Martin & Sons Inc is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming environment for both guests and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish various types of flooring.
  • Dusting: Regularly dust furniture and surfaces to maintain a clean appearance.
  • Carpet Care: Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Bed Maintenance: Make beds and change sheets as required.
  • Supply Management: Distribute clean towels and toiletries to designated areas.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report items that are lost or found.
  • Guest Assistance: Attend to requests for extra supplies or information about facilities.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers regularly.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties as needed.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to ensure a spotless environment.
  • Changing Room Maintenance: Clean changing rooms and showers to uphold hygiene standards.
Work Environment

The role requires physical capabilities including bending, crouching, and kneeling, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 32.5 hours per week.
