About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to join our team at Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machinery to process and package food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery to process and package food products, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to machinery to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
  • Record production information and monitor quality control metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve mechanical issues and address product irregularities.
  • Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines to meet production demands.
  • Inspect products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and attention to detail. You will be working in a fruit and vegetable processing plant, operating machinery and equipment to package food products.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
