Food Packaging Machine Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food Packaging Machine Operator to join our team at Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machinery to process and package food products, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to process and bag, box or package food products.
- Perform corrective machine adjustments to optimize production.
- Record production information to track efficiency and quality.
- Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
- Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines to meet production demands.
- Check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.
Work Setting: Our fruit and vegetable processing plant is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. As a Food Packaging Machine Operator, you will work closely with our production team to ensure smooth operation and meet production targets.
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
