Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Expansion. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance with US and Canadian laws and regulations, and developing financial strategies to support our growth and profitability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage our financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with US and Canadian laws and regulations, including tax and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth and profitability
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to the senior management team to support decision-making
  • Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
  • Oversee financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls
  • Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support operations and growth
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least five years of experience in a senior financial management position (CFO responsibilities preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of US and Canadian laws and regulations, focusing on tax. In addition, knowledge of international tax would be favorable
  • Prior experience in the gaming or gambling industries, specifically in a multinational environment, is a strong advantage
  • Experience managing a fast-growing business or division would be advantageous
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
