Job Title: Regular Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Regular Bus Driver to join our team at School District #50 (Haida Gwaii). As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a school bus along a designated route, ensuring the safety and well-being of students on board.
  • Follow established bus routes and schedules, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive, respectful environment on the bus.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements:
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a school bus endorsement.
  • Excellent driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects, as needed.
