Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Dorval. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable files
- Process and verify payments received, including checks, wire transfers, and other payment methods
- Reconcile accounts receivable on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with customers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable
- Work closely with project management teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate payment processing
- Prepare and send payment receipts to customers
- Obtain releases from suppliers in exchange for payment
- Collaborate with accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- Issue customer invoices based on contracts and work performed
- Verify accuracy of billing information, including amounts, job descriptions, and payment terms
- College diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable management and debt collection, preferably in the construction industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting software (D365 an asset) and office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of construction whistleblowing laws and regulations (asset)
- Ability to solve problems and negotiate with customers
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in managing financial files
