Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Preparation: Prepare, season, cook, and portion menu items for the dining room and cafeteria.
  • Kitchen Operations: Operate kitchen equipment, ensure cleanliness and proper use, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management and verify goods upon receipt to ensure accurate ordering and minimize waste.
  • Training and Development: Occasionally train new cooks and provide guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Diploma: Possess a professional cooking diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Two years of relevant experience with cooking techniques and recipe knowledge.
  • Language: Fluency in French is required.
  • Authorization: Legal authorization to work in Canada is necessary.
  • Security Clearance: Successful security clearance is required.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $21.60 to $27.00 per hour based on experience.
  • Casual Rate: Additional 11.12% hourly rate for casual or on-call employment.
  • Variable Hours: Work variable weekly hours to meet the needs of our clients.
