Position Overview

Dicam Landscaping Inc is seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining outdoor spaces.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

The position is primarily outdoors, providing a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction and maintenance of landscapes.
  • Perform weeding, pruning, and trimming of trees and plants.
  • Maintain lawns by cutting grass and collecting refuse.
  • Transport and distribute topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Install sod or seed, and plant various flora including bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Administer fertilizers and ensure proper watering of plants, lawns, and gardens.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance machinery.
  • Apply insecticides and fungicides to plants as necessary.
  • Manage snow and ice control by spreading sand or salt on walkways.
  • Assist in the pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants.
Experience Requirements

Candidates should have between 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Safety and Security
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Driving record check (abstract) will be conducted.
Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage tight deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks. Physical capabilities include:

  • Handling heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
