Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking Clinical Nurse Specialists to enhance the team at a healthcare facility. This is a chance to become part of a dedicated group.
This position offers a rotating seasonal schedule, which may include options such as 6 months on and 6 months off or 3 months on and 3 months off.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Specialist include:
Delivering nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting. Providing care to primarily older individuals in a long-term care environment. Offering emergency nursing services to patients of various ages presenting with diverse symptoms. Enhancing the quality of life from the perspective of clients and their families. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Demonstrating continuous improvement and adherence to best practices in nursing. Exhibiting leadership and expertise in nursing practice. Maintaining and advancing clinical competencies. Participating in designated committees and approved research initiatives as required.ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Active registration as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with the relevant nursing regulatory body. Completion of an accredited advanced nursing program in emergency or critical care nursing, along with recent experience in a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge & Skills
Comprehensive understanding of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered care model. Familiarity with the standards for nursing practice. Proven ability to develop and implement care plans. Skill in assessing patient responses to care and responding appropriately. Ability to adapt to unexpected situations, prioritize tasks, and manage conflicts. Competence in managing trauma in emergency settings. Capacity to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and healthcare colleagues. Leadership capabilities to mentor and guide new staff and students. Proficiency in clinical techniques and the use of relevant medical equipment. Demonstrated computer skills, including the use of client care information systems. Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.Additional Information
