Key Responsibilities:- Manage finances or budget to ensure efficient transportation operations
- Arrange for shipping documentation and track goods in transit to ensure timely delivery
- Ensure transport compliance with regulations to minimize risks and penalties
- Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
- Negotiate for services and preferential rates with transportation providers
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to optimize routes and reduce costs
- Monitor revenue and adjust transportation service rates as needed
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to optimize operations
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
