Role Overview
AIM is seeking a Non-Ferrous Metal Sorting Specialist for our recycling facility. Reporting to the site director, the successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining the site and ensuring efficient production processes, particularly in the sorting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, is essential.
Responsibilities include: Sorting various types of non-ferrous metals; Classifying non-ferrous materials and identifying their types; Weighing incoming materials; Operating forklifts as needed; Conducting daily maintenance tasks; Performing general upkeep of the facility; Ensuring equipment and property are well-maintained; Cleaning workspaces at the end of shifts; Entering data into the RECY system; Delivering exceptional customer service; Assisting with torch cutting when required; Preparing shipments and receiving materials; Wearing personal protective equipment consistently.Qualifications
Experience with forklift operation (preferred); Background in metal recycling (preferred); Familiarity with different types of metals (preferred).Desired Skills:
Ability to work in a dusty environment; Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions; Strong customer service skills; Good physical fitness; Commitment to safety practices; Responsible and resourceful attitude; Team-oriented mindset; Punctual and diligent work ethic.Additional Information
