Fresh Produce Operations Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily functions of the Produce section within the store.
  • Ensure the department achieves or surpasses sales and profitability targets.
  • Train and mentor team members in customer engagement, product expertise, and visual merchandising.
  • Guarantee that products are adequately stocked, displayed, and priced correctly.
  • Track inventory levels and collaborate with other sections for timely restocking.
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the department for both customers and staff.
  • Oversee departmental expenditures.
  • Maintain regular communication with store leadership and other department heads to ensure overall store objectives are met.
  • Actively seek out talented individuals to enhance our team.
  • Inspire, coach, and motivate team members to boost productivity, engagement, and retention.
  • Commit to upholding merchandising and operational excellence.
  • Build and lead diverse teams that promote an inclusive and welcoming workplace.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in retail management, particularly in a departmental or specialty store environment, is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to inspire and develop team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and customer service, is beneficial.
  • Capacity to lift and transport up to 50 pounds and remain on foot for extended periods.
