As a trusted consultant, you will develop strategic plans to meet clients' international needs and reduce tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagement teams in executing U.S. corporate tax initiatives, including tax planning, minimization strategies, and compliance
  • Assist organizations in identifying optimal U.S. corporate structures and financing methods
  • Provide industry insights on intricate tax and assurance issues through high-quality deliverables
  • Conduct due diligence for potential acquisitions by Canadian entities of U.S. operations
  • Review federal and multi-state corporate tax returns
  • Oversee project finances, including budgets, billing, and collections
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve tax inquiries and discrepancies
  • Research and address client issues related to tax compliance and planning
  • Contribute to competitive proposals and engage with clients to comprehend their needs
  • Review work for precision, manage project timelines, and enhance client relationships
  • Network in professional and community environments to uncover business opportunities
  • Mentor and develop team members for professional advancement
  • Participate in internal training sessions to improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Skills

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 5-8 years of experience in public accounting or tax consulting
  • Expertise in U.S. Corporate Tax and tax compliance
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts and tax software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possessing a Master's Degree in U.S. Taxation or Law is an asset
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
