Director of Administration

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Administration to join our team at McMaster University's School of Nursing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the School's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the School's administrative functions, including financial management, human resources, and education administration.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the School's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of the School's budget, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff on administrative matters, including human resources, education administration, and research coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including university administrators, faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and trends in higher education administration and apply this knowledge to improve the School's operations and services.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as business administration, education, or health sciences.
- 5-10 years of experience in a senior administrative role in a higher education setting, preferably in a health sciences context.
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience, including financial management, human resources, and education administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
