Overview
CSA Group is seeking a dedicated Manager of Research Standards to oversee our Standards Research team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of our existing standards portfolio while expanding it to meet the evolving needs of emerging standards. The successful candidate will manage and facilitate various research initiatives within the Standards Research program, providing support to project leads as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the intake, assessment, and communication regarding research proposals, ensuring a transparent process for all submissions.
- Guarantee the integrity of all research reports by managing their progression from final draft through editing, legal review, and publication, including appropriate translations and design elements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to effectively promote research publications and related activities within the research program.
- Maintain the CSA Communities Research site, showcasing ongoing and upcoming research projects and initiatives, including scholarship programs. Regularly monitor engagement and discussions on this platform.
- Manage specific projects to identify and secure qualified research contractors, which includes crafting Requests for Proposals, evaluating submissions, and negotiating contracts. Provide oversight and support to project leads in these endeavors.
- Assist in the administration of Research Scholarship programs for both graduate and undergraduate levels, including promotion, application intake, and fund management for recipients.
- Engage across all standards sectors on a diverse array of topics, contributing to a wide-ranging impact.
- Possess a robust understanding of research methodologies and publication standards.
Qualifications:
- A graduate degree (e.g., Master's) with a specialization in research.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a standards or research-focused environment.
- Proven experience in developing and managing research projects effectively.
- Familiarity with the publication process for research outputs.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and research materials.
- Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding organizational, planning, and coordination skills, demonstrating initiative and discretion.
- Proficiency in French will be considered an asset.
