Job Overview

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Finance and Administration Officer to join our team in Inuvik.

As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the day-to-day financial, accounting, and contractor payroll systems within our central office.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and monitor financial reports and processes
* Conduct transactions related to payroll deductions and remittances
* Ensure compliance with financial and administrative policies and procedures
* Provide financial support to the Comptroller

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
* 1 year of relevant experience using computerized accounting programs
* Strong knowledge of financial and administrative policies and procedures
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
